Ackerman YR 2008 UL http://aa.uwpress.org/content/45/2/146.abstract AB The Security Cove site in southwestern Alaska contained a surface component of side-notched projectile points and other tools forms (Northern Archaic tradition): the remains of a caribou hunter’s camp some 6000 years ago. Surface erosion has disturbed the distribution of artifacts over the site and has removed any traces of hearth or dwelling features. The assemblage, nonetheless, provides data on the activities of the site occupants and their strategy for subsistence.
