Christy G. Turner II

Abstract

This article is mainly a personal account and photographic essay of the first summer that Allen P. McCartney and I spent in Alaska. It describes the major findings of that summer, and concludes with a few comments on subsequent work and the divergent paths that Allen and I traveled during our forty-one years of northern anthropological research.
